Workforce Investment Network Board

The WiN partnership provides workforce readiness and advancement services to individuals and businesses.

The Board

The Board consists of 33 key community leaders representing both large and small business for the three consortium cities and representatives from labor, education, community, and public service, as well as up to16 Associate members.

Members serve for two years, fixed and staggered terms of office. The time commitment for members is about 4-5 hours per month.

The Board meets quarterly on the fourth Thursday of January, April, July, and October. Members are assigned to one or more WiN Board committees or Actions Teams.

Applicants for membership fill out a one page form, electronically accessible. The Policy Board appoints the membership. The Policy Board officers/members are as follows: Torrance Councilman Paul M. Nowatka, Chair; Lomita Councilwoman Susan Dever, Vice-Chair; and Carson Mayor Pro-Tem Julie Ruiz Raber
